Not to be confused with the 2004 Ford GT.The Ford GT40 was set into production between 1964-1969 and it is mostly known for its success at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans where the race car versions of the GT40 finished at 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The Ford GT40 is also the predecessor of the Ford GT.
